Not Enough

Will you tell me when this is no longer enough?

Will you tell me when the thought of kissing me
Once more in the shadow of secrecy eats at your soul,
When the feel of my skin in the dark of the night
Is no longer enough to satisfy your desires?

Will you tell me when the words claw at your throat
To escape and declare me as yours to the world,
To keep me close to your powerful chest
And with your hand always entwined with mine?

Will you tell me what hurts you to say
And what causes your soul to thrash in your chest,
The words that fill you with fear of what I may say
In response to this no longer being enough?

I hope so, I don't really want to go first.
