See You Again

I have the sudden urge to dip my head beneath the water
And wait until we are face to face again.
Breathe it into my lungs until I only taste the ocean,
Until your taste has finally been washed out of my mouth.
I have the sudden urge to rip my veins out
And paint your portrait on my naked walls
So that whoever finds me will know the reason I walked away,
So that they know I'm always yours.
I keep staring at that shiny shotgun
My finger itching for a silky touch..
My lips begging for its metallic taste
I need to see you again.
I feel that I need to meet that tree right there
At one six hundred thirty miles per hour
So that when I touch it's bark
My atoms rip apart.
Maybe things will make sense
In the next life.
