Hopeful

It could have been worse, blood could have been spilled
And the floor could be covered with gray matter and gun powder,
But the truth of the matter, when it all comes together
Is that you and I are in it for the long run.
Sometimes it gets complicated, and the emotions run high,
A million miles per second and stop in 2 seconds flat...
It can get better, if there's a glimmer of hope
And the though that "Yes, this can happen", or
"This is worth all this effort".
Thoughts like these ones make all the difference,
And change the perspective one-eighty-degrees.
It may be impossible, and risky, and pointless,
But you won't know 'till you try,
Am I right? (I am right)
