You thought that for a moment you could fool the world,
And in it's ignorant shadows you could hide your face...
When nobody knows, nothing is complicated,
Your mind will sort it all out, if you wait.

You thought that if you put on a mask and you smiled
Everything in your path would fall and dissolve...
Everyone would be awed by your grace
And finally, for a while, you'd be safe.

Your plan was flawed, my dear butterfly,
You awed them all and fooled them all...
But you forgot the main part of the deal...
You... you forgot about me.

Your mask was of paper in my crimson eyes,
Transparent like water, no real disguise...
I see you completely, inside and out.
Ill catch you... and I wont let you fall.
