Alone in Loneliness

Suddenly she feels so alone,
And in her loneliness she doesn't think ahead,
The only goal is getting through the day
Whatever it takes.... again.
One foot placed in front of the other,
And full of grace she waltzes through the street...
The light comes down, shining through the clouds
But she's not there, she checked out.

She sits alone on the pavement,
The rain is falling still through her soul...
There's nothing there... she is not alone.
Shadows move across the empty ground,
A hand closed tight around her throat and then
She falls apart, she knows she's coming home...
But on her trip... she'll still be all alone.
